After starting its visit to the schools and towns across Serbia in Novi Pazar, the IT Caravan arrived in Leskovac. A presentation of the beneficial and safe use of information technologies and the internet was held at the “Svetozar Marković” Primary School by teacher Slavoljub Mitić and animator Osman Ahmed, in front of over 150 pupils of upper grades. The introductory address was held by the school Principal Jovica Marjanović and the Head of the Town Administration for Social Activities Suzana Stanković Ilić.

The IT Caravan is the bearer of the programme SMART&SAFE of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, promoting the advantages of the use of the internet and new technologies in education, business and communication, while also warning of the dangers hidden in its improper an undirected use.

On Friday, 22 April, the IT Caravan will arrive in Vranje, at the “Vuk Karadžić” Primary School, and by the end of the school year it will have visited the towns: Kruševac, Kraljevo, Jagodina, Požarevac, Smederevo, Vršac, Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Subotica, Sremska Mitrovica, Šabac and Loznica.

The partners of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications within the IT Caravan programme being implemented in schools are the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and Microsoft.
