Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić said that the Ministry will continue financing the reconstruction of Children’s Summer Camp “Golija” in Zlatibor next year with the construction of a swimming pool and a sports hall.
Minister Ljajić sad that the Ministry will continue with the projects for the construction of the tourism infrastructure for which RSD 450 million were allocated this year and expressed hope that more national funds will be allocated for this purpose next year.
The works will be executed in stages and the first stage will involve an investment of RSD 26 million.
Mayor of Užice Tihomir Petković expressed his gratitude to Minister Ljajić for supporting this investment for which the Ministry allocated RSD 13 million and to the Čajetina municipality which waived a municipal construction fee in the amount of RSD 6 million. He said that this year the plan is to upgrade rooms, apply a coat on a basketball court and construct a tennis and beach volleyball courts, and the deadline for the completion of this work is December 15 this year.
The City of Užice participates in the investment with 5 million and the Children’s Summer Camp Institution, which successfully operates without currently being funded from the budget, will invest RSD 3 million from its own funds, it was said today during a site visit in Zlatibor.
Director of the Children’s Summer Camp Institution Vladan Cuparić says that this institution wants to become a leader in children’s tourism in Serbia by making a comprehensive sports offer.
The Children’s Summer Camp in Zlatibor was established in 1930 as a Disabled Persons Home and it has a long tradition of children’s tourism.
