Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić said at the panel entitled “Trade and Tourism as a Driving Force for Further Development of relations between CEEC’s and the People’s Republic of China” held in the framework of the Economic and Trade Forum, China and Central and Eastern European Countries at Sava Center in Belgrade, that the success of the organization of the summit could be measured if the cooperation of the participating countries contributes to the creation of a joint tourism offer.
Assistant Minister for Tourism Renata Pindžo said that the Economic and Trade Forum is significant because of the possibility of joint presentation of the 16 CEE countries on the market of the People’s Republic of China and that CEEC’s should work on creating a common tourism product.
Vice President of Beijing’s “U Tour International Service” said that last year a significant number of tourist departures from China to other countries was recorded, and that last year the number was by 16 percent more than in 2012.
He said that each year an increasing number of tourists from China is recorded in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and that cooperation between countries in the region could have visible results, and it should result in the creation of a joint tourism offer.
Deputy State Secretary for Tourism at the Ministry of National Economy of Hungary Adam Rusinko said that there is a desire to help the growth of tourism between China and Central and Eastern European countries and that it is important to cooperate in this area.
