The Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic has signed the new list of Serbian standards in the field of radio equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment which reconciles the standards with the list of harmonized European standards from the statement of the European Commission.
The list was adopted in accordance with the application of Directive 1999/5/EC on radio equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment and the mutual recognition of their conformity with which the Rulebook on radio equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment was harmonized.
The preparation and publication of the list of Serbian standards in the field of radio equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment is an obligation under the Law on Technical Requirements for Products and Conformity Assessment.
By adopting the Rulebook on R & TT equipment, the Ministry has established a conformity assessment system for radio equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment. Article 8 of the Rulebook establishes a presumption of compliance that is the fulfillment of the essential requirements for a device that is made in accordance with Serbian standards, to which the appropriate harmonized standards or parts of these standards are applied.
The preparation and publication of the list of Serbian standards in the field of R & TT equipment is a prerequisite for the implementation of the Rulebook on R & TT equipment.
The text of the List of Serbian standards in the field of R & TT equipment was harmonized with the Serbian Institute for Standardization.
