Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić has met today with the Ambassador of Iran to Serbia Mr Hosein Molo Abdollahi, and talked about improving of all bilateral relations and the economic cooperation of the two countries.
Deputy Prime Minister and Ambassador Abdollahi have agreed that a huge step forward in further development of economic relations would be the conclusion of the free trade agreement, which would be the shortest way of increasing the volume of trade of Serbia and Iran. In that light expert groups will be established by each side which will start talks on the creation of that agreement.
Mr Ljajić and Mr Abdollahi have also talked about the improvement of the cooperation in tourism, and the beginning of work of Serbian tourism office in Teheran, which opening is expected to take place soon. The costs of functioning of the office will be fully covered by the Iranian side.
Ambassador Abdollahi has informed the Deputy Prime Minister that in March this year Serbia will be visited by a group of Iranian tourists, after a successfully realised first organised visit of Iranian guests to our country.
