IT Caravan in Vranje

During the third day of travel through the towns and schools of Serbia, the IT Caravan reached Vranje. A presentation on the advantages and risks of using new technologies and the internet, attended by approximately 150 pupils of the upper grades the “Vuk Karadžić” Primary School, was held by teacher Ana Živković.

The IT Caravan started on 20 April in Novi Pazar, followed the next day by presentations in Leskovac. The next town to visit is Kruševac, where a presentation will be held at the “Vuk Karadžić” Primary School on Tuesday, 26 April. The first cycle of the IT Caravan will last until 3 June 2016, with the remaining towns Kraljevo, Jagodina, Požarevac, Smederevo, Vršac, Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Subotica, Sremska Mitrovica, Šabac and Loznica.

IT Caravan in Vranje

The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications initiated this project for education on the beneficial and safe use of information technologies, implemented in 15 towns across Serbia, as part of the initiative for the development of information society under the slogan “Smart and Safe”.

Pupils of upper grades of primary school attend interactive presentations on the risks of using the internet and social networks, as well as the potential use ICT to make studying easier and more interesting. The authors of the presentation are teachers Katarina Veljković and Velimir Radlovački, and the moderator of all programmes is Osman Ahmed.

The IT Caravan project is being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and Microsoft.
