“IT Caravan“ of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications was hosted in Pirot, in Primary School “ 8. Septembar” where a program was presented to around 200 pupils of 5th and 6th grades about the rules of safe use of the Internet, safety risks of the use of the Internet and social networks, and the use of information and communication technologies in education.

After that, a workshop was held for the pupils about the robotics and coding, and the Ministry used the opportunity to give as a present an educational set of robots for using in classes, given to the principal Olgica Najdanović.

“IT Caravan”, which started in 2016, is a mobile platform promoting the advantages and dangers of the information and communication technologies in the program for development of the information society, realised by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications under the slogan “Smart and Safe”.

This year’s cycle of the IT Caravan 02 started from Novi Pazar, and the next stop is in Niš, on Thursday, April 20. The cities which are also planned are: Zaječar, Kraljevo, Užice, Čačak, Valjevo, Kragujevac, Subotica, Novi Sad, Pančevo and Sombor.
