Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic met with Minister of Construction and Housing of Iraq Mohammed Al Deraji to discuss the potentials to improve the overall economic relations between the two countries. The theme of the meeting included participation of Serbian companies in various infrastructure projects in Iraq.

Al Deraji pointed out that the construction companies from Serbia are welcome to participate in the reconstruction of Iraq. He added that during his visit to Belgrade he handed over documents to representatives of relevant institutions and potential partners for the tenders for a number of infrastructure projects.He also said that the Iraqi government is ready to carry out the idea of forming mixed Serbian-Iraqi companies in order to get more jobs on both markets.

The Minister of Construction and Housing of Iraq confirmed readiness for any kind of help to Serbian companies intending to do business in Iraq.
