Nebojša Vasiljević, Assistant to the Minister in the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, presented, today, at the Palace of Serbia, the contracts to the winners of the public competition for the allocation of funds for programs in the field of information society development.
In accordance with the Strategy for the Development of the Information Society in the Republic of Serbia by 2020, the Ministry is actively working on programs for the support, implementation and promotion of information and communication technologies.
In order to promote the information society and to affirm the application of ICT, the Ministry has launched a project for financing and co-financing program proposals within five proposed topics: Competition in the field of computer science, mathematics and physics, Child safety on the Internet, Digitalization of Cultural Heritage, Improving the social inclusion of people with disabilities by using information and communication technologies and Organization of summer schools in the field of computer science and informatics.
201 applications were received as a response to the public competition for the allocation of funds for programs in the field of information society development. The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications supported 44 program proposals.
