“Digital transformation, as an unstoppable development trend in the entire world, must start from education. It is necessary to ensure our pupils to have not only computer science and coding as an obligatory subject, but to make the entire education process adjusted to the needs of modern times. Information and digital approach must be applied in all teaching programmes”, said State Secretary in the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunication Tatjana Matić, with regard to the competition “Digital Class”, which has been announced by the Ministry.
She has reminded that for the previous four prize winning competitions for teachers of primary schools in Serbia, there were 1083 papers in total, which met the requirements of the competition and which were published in the collection of works that can be found on the site of the Ministry, as a type of a treasury for the application of new technologies in teaching.
“The use of new technologies will be particularly contributed by the new project “Connected schools” which the Ministry is implementing alongside with the Academic Network of Serbia, which will provide the schools with free and safe internet through that network, in the first phase, and which we will continue to implement through the creation of a stable and sustainable communication infrastructure”, State Secretary has stated.
Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunication has announced the prize winning competition “Digital Class” in the school year 2016/2017, intended for all subject teachers and class teachers of primary schools founded by the Republic of Serbia, with the aim to encourage the use of information technologies as a teaching aid. The authors of the best papers will receive prize money.
