Assistant Minister for tourism Renata Pindžo participated in the two-day work of the 15th European Tourism Forum 2016 in Bratislava, where the officials of the European Tourism Industry were informed about the positive results of Serbian tourism in the previous period.
In the forum there were discussions on the impact of taxation on the competition of traveling to the European Union, digital transformation in the EU sector for tourism and the promotion of business environment in tourism.
In addition to the participation in the panels Ms Pindžo also had bilateral meetings with the representatives of the European Commission, European Parliament, Programme and Coordination Directors of the World Tourism Organisation but also numerous line ministers of the EU countries and the representatives of the private sector in the field of tourism. The meetings were used to discuss the previous positive measures which have improved tourism in some countries but also the possibilities to improve the bilateral cooperation with the aim of sustainable growth of the European tourism sector.
European Tourism Forum is an annual event which, jointly with the European Commission is organised in the EU Member s State holding the presidency of the Council of the EU. This year, the 15th European Tourism Forum 2016, held on October 10 and 11, was devoted to the exchange of opinion of the representatives of the public sector, European associations, international organisations, representatives of tourism industry and other interested participants.
