Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić met today with the Managing Director of the largest Russian tour operator “TUI Russia”, Alexei Drobot, with whom he discussed the steps which can be taken in order to increase the number of tourists from Russia in Serbia.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić and the Managing Director of the largest Russian tour operator “TUI Russia”, Alexei Drobot have stated that there is a great potential that the number of tourists from Russia in Serbia, which was approximately 50,000 last year, will be doubled in the coming period.
Alexei Drobot said that the Russian tourists are mostly interested in Belgrade, Kopaonik and Vrnjačka Banja. He added that today and tomorrow he will visit these destinations and that after returning to Russia he will include them in the tourist offer of “TUI Russia”.
Following his meeting with Ljajić and the presentation of the Serbian tourist offer, Drobot stressed that reaching the number of 100,000 Russian tourists in Serbia should not be a major problem.
“TUI Russia” is part of one of the world’s largest tour operator “TUI group”. The aforementioned world tour operator has more than 30 million service users, who travel to 180 destinations around the world, supported by 77,000 employees in 130 countries.
