USA donated equipment to the Ministry for more effective control of trade in arms and military equipment

The United States Government, through its Program to help improve the export control system (EXBS), donated to the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, computers and related equipment in order to enable more efficient performance of tasks in the field of licensing for export and import of arms, military equipment and dual-use goods.

During today’s handover of said equipment, State Secretary Stevan Nikčević thanked the EXBS program coordinator for Serbia Mr. Jeffrey Outlaw for the continued support of the Government of the United States towards improving the export control system of the Republic of Serbia.

They agreed that the mutual cooperation between the two countries in this field is at a high level, and that the Republic of Serbia has harmonized its legislation with international standards by adopting the new Law on Import and Export of Dual-Use Goods, and the Law on Export and Import of Weapons and Military Equipment.
