The representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunication headed by State Secretary Tatjana Matić welcomed today the representatives of the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI).
Today’s meeting marks the beginning of a months-long project of cooperation between the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Science, Information Society and Future Planning of the Republic of Korea. The goal of this cooperation is to provide recommendations and guidelines on the application of a mobile broadband network in Serbia. The project will be implemented in three phases and will last until November 2014. Meanwhile, the KISIDI, in cooperation with experts in the field of telecommunications from Serbia, will do an analysis of the market environment and preconditions and will define the responsible persons and form a strategy.
Mr. In-Soo Kang a Senior Researcher said that Korea is one of the leading countries in the field of ICT, whose success was recognized by many countries and that KISIDI has played a leading role in the development of the ICT sector in Korea.
Tatjana Matić stated that she appreciates the support of the Korean counterparts, as well as their desire to share their knowledge and experience in order to achieve the common goal of global prosperity and the expansion of digital opportunities.
