Assistant Minister for Information Society Sava Savić said at the opening of the 15th conference on electronic commerce, “E-Commerce 2015” in Palić that more than 70% of trade is done electronically within the European Union.
He said that the use of E-Signature and E-Business changes the business environment and creates the conditions for all such activities to be done differently – faster, more efficiently and economically.
Savić noted that the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and telecommunications, which is also the patron of the event, started implementing the project “E-Business Development”, which aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the Serbian economy by strengthening the private sector, especially small and medium enterprises, and develop E-Business.
He said that one of the means to motivate the Serbian ICT market, and thus E-Business and E-Commerce is to connect locally and globally, exchange ideas and knowledge, and added that the speed of response and adaptation to new trends and changes becomes a decisive factor of competitiveness and development.
Head of the Department for Trade Željko Rakić presented the IPA 2012 project “E-Business Development”; he is also the national director of this project.
At the panel entitled “Successful E-Commerce in Serbia – how we achieved online success and how to further improve business conditions”, Rakić presented the current trends in the field of E-Business to the participants and explained to the owners of E-Shops the legislative frameworks in their sphere of operation.
