State Secretary in the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunication Tatjana Matić has said that for the development of the IT sector of great importance is the regional prevalence of the IT community, which has been recognised by the line Ministry and included it in the Strategy of Development of Information Technologies, recently adopted by Serbian Government.
“It’s necessary to bridge the economic but also the digital gap between the developed cities and less developed areas, which will first be achieved by developing the IT staff through the training programmes and incentives for the IT entrepreneurship”, Ms Tatjana Matić has said in the ceremony of signing the agreement between the Ministry and the representatives of the IT communities, whose projects were approved in the Competition of that Ministry for the IT community development programmes.
State Secretary has invited the representatives of the IT community to define the needs of the IT sector together, in order to ensure their further development, stating that her expectation is that the approved programmes give visible and measurable results.
In the competition of the Ministry for having various programmes and trainings in the field of information technologies, eight projects have been supported with the total amount of ten million dinars, for the IT communities in Belgrade, Majdanpek, Valjevo, Kikinda, Kragujevac, Vranje, Sombor, Bor and Niš.
