The rapid development of electronic communications and information technologies and the increasing share of this sector in the economy, both nationally and globally, is one of the few trends that have managed to maintain positive results despite the global economic crisis. By stimulating economic growth through new services and openness to investment, Information and communication technologies are creating the conditions for job creation, increased productivity of business processes, as well as increased revenue and rate of return on investment. ICT is a platform that can provide services that require faster exchange of information. Investment in electronic communications directly affects the growth of gross domestic product, the competitiveness of all sectors of the economy and improves the quality of life of citizens.
In an interview for “TV Prva”, State Secretary at Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matić said that it is very significant that Serbia has recognized the importance of digital entrepreneurship, and is now adapting its laws in the manner of other European countries, because this is a growing trend. We opened the ICT Hub and many other activities of the relevant Ministry are underway.
