Tatjana Matić presented awards to the participants in the Serbian Physics Olympiad and electoral competition among elementary school students

State Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matić awarded today awards and prizes to the participants in the Serbian Physics Olympiad and electoral competition for elementary school students at the Faculty of Physics in Belgrade, which was organized by the Society of Physicists of Serbia.

The electoral competition is the highest level of competition organized by the Society of Physicists of Serbia and it is preceded by the Serbian Physics Olympiad. The most successful contestants in the electoral competition will be selected for the Olympic Team which will represent Serbia at the International Physics Olympiad in South Korea.

In the last year’s competition for the allocation of funds for the programs in the field of development of the information society, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications supported the project of the Society of Physicists of Serbia which achieved a result in the form of winning a gold medal at the International Physics Olympiad held in Argentina.

“The result that we achieved last year was a strong enough motive to continue our successful cooperation this year as well” Tatjana Matić said.

The State Secretary congratulated the students on their success and wished them success in the forthcoming international competition and in achieving top results.
