Serbian products competitive in market of Saudi Arabia

Belgrade/Sarajevo 12 Sept 2013 – State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Stevan Nikcevic headed a delegation of food producers from Serbia to Sarajevo, where they met with Abdullah Al Othaim, owner of Al Othaim Group in Saudi Arabia.

Abdullah Al Othaim expressed readiness to import milk and milk products, meat and meat products, sugar, sunflower oil and flour from Serbia.

He said that Serbian products and price and quality can be competitive in the market of Saudi Arabia.

This meeting is a continuation of cooperation that began with the visit of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic to Saudi Arabia.

Al Othaim Group is one of the largest food importers in the Middle East.

The delegation of businessmen from Serbia included representatives of Imlek, Interkomerc and Inway, according to a statement from the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office.
