Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic met today with CEO of the Qatar Investment Hussain Al Abdulla, who has expressed interest in investing in projects in Serbia.

The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications said that the Qatar Investment Fund CEO announced that a delegation of the fund will in June visit Serbia to see investment opportunities in the energy and agriculture.

He also confirmed that representatives of Qatar’s largest agricultural company Hasat will in June discuss joint projects and investments in agriculture.

He said of special interest for the Qatar Investment Fund is investment in the production of coal in Serbia.

Ljajic, who is on an official state visit to Qatar, also met today with Qatari Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Bin Abdullah Bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud.
