The Serbian government adopted at its session today the Decree on mandatory production and sale of bread made of ‟T-500” flour, limiting the maximum retail price of the loaf of bread, weighing 500 grams, to RSD 46.
Owing to this decree, the maximum retail sale of a loaf of bread made of ‟T-500” flour has been reduced by RSD 2.5 because so far the price has been RSD 48.5.
Also, all bread producers are required to produce and put to sale the bread made of ‟T-500” flour“ in the amount of at least 40% of their entire bread production, and this decree will be in force six months.
Upon passing the decree, the government was led by the fact that after this year’s wheat harvest the price of flour dropped, and there were no significant changes in other parameters that participate in the structure of bread prices.
