Assistant Minister for tourism Renata Pindžo, at the 11th scientific expert conference “Hotel House 2017” on “Innovations in hotel management and tourism”, said that the innovations are key precondition for improving the competiveness of Serbia as a touristic destination.
While opening this significant scientific gathering of hospitality and touristic sector of Serbia, Mrs Pindžo talked about the significance of creating, diffusing, and launching innovations in tourism and hospitality with the aim to improve the competitiveness of Serbia as a touristic destination and its touristic products as a basic precondition for survival and further development in the increasingly demanding and competitive touristic market of Europe and the world.
“Divisions among the stakeholders in the market is becoming more and more visible to these who invested and those who are investing in new technologies and digitalisation in various segments of business, and those who will be wiped away from the touristic market by a new wave of digitalisation “, she emphasised.
The 11th scientific expert conference “Hotel House 2017” was held from 16th to 18th November at Zlatibor, under the patronage of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism, and Telecommunications.
The Conference was organised by the Business Association of Hotel-Hospitality Sectors (HORES) in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics of the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Hotel Management and Tourism of the University of Singidunum, High Tourism School and High Hotel Management School from Belgrade.
