Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Trade, Tourism, and Telecommunications has opened early today a new sports hall in children’s resort “Golija” at Zlatibor, worth RSD 34 million.
Mr Ljajić has said that the intention is to position the resort as an important destination for development of school tourism, and to attract a big number of children and athletes of young categories.
That objective has already been achieved, which can be demonstrated by the volleyball and basketball camps held here, gathering pupils from 19, i.e. 25 countries, as he has stated, adding that the plan is to construct saunas, salt rooms, gyms and child’s playrooms, which will finalise the touristic offer.
According to his words, Zlatibor is one of the three leading destinations in domestic tourism, with incredible potential for future growth and development.
Serbian Government has invested here RSD 130.3 million in the past two years, and the plan is to have new investments in improving the touristic infrastructure and the general offer Zlatibor has, Deputy PM has said.
The focus, as he has said, is on the sport tourism, and in the next period we will work on placing Zlatibor as an important place for preparation trainings of different athletes, as Minister concluded.
