Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism, and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić and director of the Public Enterprise “Ski Resorts of Serbia” Dejan Ćika, attended today the beginning of the works on the construction of the first public garage with a heliodrom on Kopaonik, which are to be finished by December this year.
On that occasion, Mr Ljajić said that the construction of the garage with 312 parking spaces, which is one of the most important infrastructural projects on Kopaonik, will significantly contribute to resolving the chronic, burning issue, which is faced primarily by the tourists coming to this mountain during the winter touristic season.
“Construction of the garage with 312 parking spaces, construction of a heliodrom, is something which is definitely a need for Kopaonik, as one of the main touristic centres, destination in the country”, says Minister.
He has said that the investment is worth more than RSD 570 million, out of which the Ministry of Trade, Tourism, and Telecommunications has allocated RSD 100 million, while the remaining funds will be allocated from the regular operations of the Public Enterprise “Ski Resorts of Serbia”.
“Anyway, something which will definitely pay back through the revenues the Ski Resorts of Serbia will make. We believe that this is one of those projects we have waited for, and we hope that this project will be finished according to the plan, which is the beginning of the winter touristic season, not later than December”, concluded Mr Ljajić.
