State Secretary for Tourism Miroslav Knežević has stated that starting of Friday, June 1, a public hearing will be started about the Draft Law on Tourism, and Draft Law on Hospitality, to take place for 20 days.
On the 51st annual session of the Assembly of the Business Association of Hotel and Restaurant Industry of Serbia HORES he particularly stressed that the hospitality sector deserves a special law having in mind the requirements of hospitality sector, the initiative expressed by their representative within the National Council for Tourism Development, and a high level of tourism and hospitality development reached at this point.
Assistant Minister for Tourism Renata Pindžo has introduced to the present audience the legal solutions both for tourism and hospitality, underlining that the Working Group for creation of these drafts included the representatives of expert and business associations, including the HORES representatives.
Assistant Minister in the Sector for Tourism Inspection Vera Božić Trefalt has introduced the efforts of the tourism inspection on curbing the grey economy, and with the coordination activities with the local tourism inspections to make the surveillance of work eligibility of physical entities improved in the upcoming period, in particular those who provide hospitality services, having in mind the significance of inspection in the realisation of new proposed legal solutions.
In the session of the Assembly of the Association the Report on Operations, programme activities of HORES in 2018/2019 have been presented, the President and Deputy President of HO have been elected, and recognitions have been given on the occasion of 85th anniversary of the Business Association of Hotel and Restaurant Industry, and 50 years of work of PU HORES.
