Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić opened the Oplenac Grape Harvest event in Topola. On this occasion he promised state aid in the form of subsidies for the construction of visitors’ center.
“I hope we will finish this facility for the next Oplenac Grape Harvest event with the help of the Ministry and the Government. This festival became a brand and the local government has an obligation to extend the tourist offer due to all the visitors who come to Topola on those days” Ljajić said.
Apart from the event that takes places for the 52nd time, there is also the Wine, Souvenirs and Handicrafts Fair and the Summit of Original Folk Creativity.
The Oplenac Grape Harvest event was included in the network of exceptional European destinations through the European Commission project “European Destinations of Excellence” and it had 250 thousand visitors last year.
