Ljajic opened a bobsleigh track in Tornik

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić opened the bobsleigh track in the ski center Tornik in Zlatibor. Ljajić said that Zlatibor is increasingly positioning itself as a major tourist center in the country with a huge potential and that income from tourism is increasing year by year.

“The value of the bobsleigh-on-rails track, together with a mini golf course and related facilities and playgrounds is 1,600,000 euros. The investment is to be repaid in three years, which will allow for investment of new funds in infrastructure development in Zlatibor and in new tourist facilities” said Ljajić.

The Minister of Tourism said that in the first seven months of this year, Zlatibor showed a three percent decline in the number of overnight stays. “There was a decline of 20 percent in May as a result of the floods, while in July there was an increase in the number of tourists by 17 percent. I hope that we will mark a positive balance by the end of the year” said Ljajić.
