Ljajic on the award to grants for 45 businesses in the field of traditional crafts at the Palace of Serbia said that it was an opportunity to once again highlight the importance of preserving traditional crafts in our country.

He said that the Ministry of Foreign and Domestic Trade and Telecommunications allocated 15.750.000 dinars to help the old trades, while the value of individual incentives range from 100 thousand to 500 thousand dinars.

It is a modest means, but I believe that it will help many people, especially in times of economic crisis, said Deputy Prime Minister.

Ljajic on the award to grants for 45 businesses in the field of traditional crafts at the Palace of Serbia said that it was an opportunity to once again highlight the importance of preserving traditional crafts in our country.

He pointed out that the traditional crafts provide a significant contribution to the national branding of Serbia, and added that in our country there are approximately 1,200 craftsmen.

Of these, he added, the 365 of them have been certified, and they alone are able to apply for the grant.

According to him, the plan is to keep the national exhibition of traditional crafts, in which the state, along with the craftsmen, should be defining and the cluster of development of traditional crafts.

Ljajic said that this would greatly reduce production costs and facilitate the placement of traditional crafts in foreign markets.

He said that by the end of the year should bring a new law on crafts, and confirmed that the state will financial help an artisan appearance at international fairs.

I believe this is a new beginning and I am sure that with one organized action and joint actions can contribute to the revitalization of handicrafts in Serbia, and is the main purpose and objective of this competition, Ljajic concluded.
