Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunication Rasim Ljajić and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirko Šarović lead the delegation of the two countries in their two-day visit to Saudi Arabia, where they have met with the Saudi Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the line ministers of commerce, agriculture and construction of that country.
In the meeting with the Minister of Commerce and Investment Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, a joint trilateral committee was formed which aim is to create and monitor the activities related to increasing the trade exchange and realisation of Saudi investments in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Also, in the meeting with the Minister of Agricuture, Water Management and Environment Abdulrahman bin Abudulmohsen Al-Fadhil, it has been agreed to organise a joint fair in Riyadh, in which agricultural and food products and potentials of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be presented. Minister of Construction and Housing Majed bin Abudllah Al Hogai has invited companies from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina from the field of construction to participate in tenders in Saudi Arabia, since they expect the construction of more than 1.5 million housing units in that country in the upcoming seven years.
In addition to that, it has been agreed with the Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who is also the president of the State Committee for Tourism and Cultural Heritage, that the visit of tour operators from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina should take place in April this year, with the presentation of touristic offers of the two countries for the Saudi market.
