State Secretary in the Ministry of Trade, Tourism, and Telecommunications Tatjana Matić, has said to the children for which the IT Caravan 03 was presented in Novi Sad, that digital skills are the condition for their successful careers in the future, but that the digital technologies must be used safely.
“Though your digital competences are rather high, insufficient life experience makes you unprotected on the internet. This is why we are conducting the IT Caravan, for the third consecutive year already, in order to show you how to be safe on the internet, but also how to use digital tools in learning and researching”, says Ms Matić, expressing her happiness for having the IT Caravan in Novi Sad again, since that is the city of IT talents.
This year the programme is presented in the Spens Amphitheatre to the pupils, their teachers and parents from five primary schools from Novi Sad: “Petefi Šandor”, “Vuk Karadžić”, “Aleksa Šantić”, “Žarko Zrenjanin” and “Kosta Trifković”. The school representatives were given the magnet boards for use in teaching.
For all participants there was an educational play on online safety, followed by the workshop for coding for children, and the workshop for parents on protecting children on the internet.
