Assistant Minister for Tourism Renata Pindžo has said today, at the RTS, that out of the total number of 60.000 vouchers for domestic tourism this year, 16.350 have already been granted, which is two times more than in 2016.
“The highest interest is among the pensioners, and the citizens have 572 hospitality facilities available”, she said, adding that by the end of the month we expect the applications for almost one third of the vouchers.
Ms Pindžo has stated that this winter was rather successful for the mountains, since there was more than 10 per cent of arrivals in average, so that the revenues from tourism were higher than expected.
“Kopaonik had more than 109.000 overnight stays in January, Zlatibor had 71.000 overnight stays, while Belgrade was overcrowded with foreign tourists and marked an increase of the number of tourists by around six per cent”, Assistant Minister has said.
In the third year consecutively the State has providing subsidies with 5.000 RSD for domestic tourism, and this year we have planned 14.000 vouchers more than last year.
