Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić met today with the Ambassador of Iran in Serbia Mr. Majid Fahim Pour in order to discuss the possibilities of improving the overall economic relations between the two countries.
Ljajić and Pour agreed that there is great potential for the expansion of economic cooperation in the field of agriculture and food industry, infrastructure, automotive industry and tourism, which are expected to increase the volume of trade.
During the meeting it was agreed that an agreement on cooperation between Serbia and Iran in the field of tourism will soon be concluded, which should result in an increase in the number of tourists from one country to the other.
Ljajić and Pour pointed out the necessity of stronger institutional support to the entrepreneurs of the two countries in order to establish contacts and exchange information, where closer cooperation between chambers of commerce, and the organization of business forums will play a key role.
