The second international Europe Code Week is underway and it lasts until Friday, October 17, 2014. Interested pupils, students and citizens can still take part in some of the remaining 60 events organized throughout the country. This international event aims to promote and enhance the basic computer knowledge and skills of all citizens.
More information on current events can be found on the following website: events.codeweek.eu
We must use this opportunity to commend the interest shown so far by organizations and citizens to participate in this event. Although it applied last for participating in this project, the Republic of Serbia, with 99 reported events, currently holds the 9th place in Europe (at events.codeweek.eu rankings), according to the criterion of the number of events organized in relation to the population.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, together with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development supported the organization of this event. Both ministries have expressed their readiness to support this event and thus promote the development of information and communication technologies in the country.
Other events within the week can be followed on social networks: on Twitter @codeWeekEU: #codeEU and on Facebook:codeEU.
