As part of the digitization process, in accordance with the plan of transition to digital television broadcasting, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications announced the switching off of analog transmitters and the full transition to digital television broadcasting in the areas of “Rudnik-Crni vrh”, “Tupižnica”, “Tornik-Ovčar” and “Deli Jovan”, on June 1.
The digital transmitters at the “Ovčar” emission station will be put into operation on June 1 at 12 am by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matić and Branko Gogić Acting Director of the public enterprise “Emisiona tehnika i veze”.
By switching exclusively to digital broadcasting at the “Ovčar” emission station, citizens in the region of Šumadija and Pomoravlje, Eastern Serbia and the Zlatibor region will be able to watch digital television.
After switching off the analog signal in these areas, thanks to digital television broadcasting, citizens will have a better quality picture and sound, a greater selection of channels, and the choice to use translation and subtitling of content.
