State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Tatjana Matić, congratulated the young Serbian IT students on the medals won at 28th International Olympiad in Informatics in Kazan, Russia.
“Our brilliant young computer scientists have once again proved that we have the talents and capacities in the areas where there is enormous international competition. We owe them gratitude for the successes they achieve at international competitions, representing Serbia in the best light, as a competitive country in the science of the future. They also remind us that we need to invest more in young people and their inclusion in contemporary scientific trends and their preparation for the most prestigious and best paid profession,” State Secretary Tatjana Matić said.
At the 28th International Olympiad in Informatics for high school students, which took place in Kazan from 12 to 19 August 2016, members of the Serbian IT team won three medals: two silver medals – Dušan Živanović from Grammar School “Svetozar Marković”, Niš and Nenad Bauk from the Belgrade Mathematical Grammar School, and a bronze medal – Nikola Spasić from Grammar School “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” in Novi Sad.
