Assistant Minister Vesna Novaković held a presentation today, at the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Kruševac, about the Law on Consumer Protection, which is in effect since September 22, 2014. She informed the representatives of the industry present at the conference, about the new legal solutions, ways of fulfilling their obligations and the legal deadlines for resolving consumer complaints.

In an interactive discussion, the representatives of the Department for Consumer Protection and the Market Inspection pointed out the novelties in the law and explained its application in practice through concrete examples. The representatives of the industry showed the most interest for the new responsibilities of the market inspection, as well as the procedure for the protection of the collective interests of consumers.

Today’s visit is one in a series of visits where the representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications will raise the awareness of the economic sector about the implementation of the Law on Consumer Protection.
