Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić and H. E. the Ambassador of Qatar in Belgrade Mubarak bin Fahad Jassim Mohammed Al Thani conferred concerning the forthcoming signing of two key agreements which will considerably improve the two countries’ economic cooperation.

The two sides agreed on the text of the agreement on economic, trade and technical cooperation between Serbia and Qatar and the agreement on mutual incentives and protection of investments should be ready for signing in the next few days.

During the meeting, Ljajić underscored that the signing of the two agreements opens a new chapter in the bilateral economic cooperation which was at a relatively low level until now.

It was also agreed that the business delegation of Qatar should visit Serbia by the end of the year so as to learn more about the investment possibilities and products which could be exported from the Serbia to the Qatari market.
