Ministry of Trade, Tourism, and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia and Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Turkey have agreed about the text of the new Agreement on mutual encouragement and protection of investments between the two countries, which will replace the old agreements signed in 2001.
The new agreements defined the rights and responsibilities of foreign investors, and also guarantees the international legal protection and proper treatment of the investments, sending a positive signal for arriving of new investors from Turkey to Serbia.
Signing this new Agreements on mutual encouragement and protection of investments between Serbia and Turkey will contribute to the improvement of bilateral relations of the two countries, especially in increasing the volume of Turkish investments in our country, which are in expansion and are very significant for the overall economic development.
Text of the new Agreement on mutual encouragement and protection of investments will be signed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and Minister of Trade, Tourism, and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić, and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Serbia Nihat Zeibekci in December this year.
