Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić said today that, by the end of the week, the ministry will announce a competition for tourism infrastructure development projects totaling 450 million.
The competition is primarily for local governments, and the total amount is 450 million RSD, said Deputy Prime Minister Ljajić at a press conference in the Tourist Organization of Serbia.
The competition will be open over the whole year, and preference will be given to municipalities willing to co-finance the projects, said Ljajić.
He recalled that on February 26, the public debate on amending the Law on Tourism will end, after which the National Council for the Development of Tourism will consider the legislative changes, and the Tourism Development Strategy and forward the proposal to the competent institutions.
