State Secretary in the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matić has said at the occasion of launching the National Contact Centre for Online Safety of Children that now all citizens, including children and minors, can call that centre if they want to obtain advice in the field of online safety or if they want to report violation of safety of children on the Internet.
“From the institutional perspective the government, through a centralised system, has taken care of the issued which is also a global challenge. By establishing this contact centre we have initiated preventive measures, in order to stop the escalation of the issue. The existence of a single place for advice and reports, was necessary both for parents and children, but also teachers and all others, to learn on one single place about whatever they want to learn regarding this topic, and to report all issues they identify, and which are related to protection and safety of children on the Internet.”, Ms Tatjana Matić has said.
From today on, the citizens can report all forms of abuse of the Internet and violation of online safety of children by calling number 19883, by sending an e-mail to bit@mtt.gov.rs or by sending an electronic report to the portal www.pametnoibezbedno.gov.rs.
