The Government of Serbia has made a decision that obliges the Republic Directorate for Commodity Reserves to irrevocably deliver one million kilograms of commercial maize, valued at 19.5 million RSD, to areas affected by the catastrophic floods for the purpose of feeding the cattle.
The director of the Republic Directorate for Commodity Reserves Goran Tasić called upon the Crisis Staff in all the local municipalities affected by the floods, where an emergency situation has been declared, to submit their claims for the required amounts of corn to the Sector for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia.
“Based on the specifications that will be prepared by the Sector for Emergency Situations, the Directorate for Commodity Reserves will supply the commercial corn, and local government will carry out the transport and distribution from the licensed warehouses to the points of delivery,” said Tasić.
