In the competition organized traditionally by PC Press, the eGovernment Portal was classified among the top 50 websites in Serbia and was ranked first in the category Society and Humanity.
“eUprava” is one of the key projects in the development of electronic administration in the Republic of Serbia and it is the central point of access to e-services for all the citizens of Serbia, for businesses and employees in public administration.
Using the portal facilitates the citizens’ communication with public authorities and the whole public administration in terms of finding information and appropriate forms, as well as easing application and receipt of decisions and other documents. Further development of e-governance contributes to the reduction of corruption and greater transparency in the state.
Currently, more than 500 services are available on the portal, and about 130 bodies announced their services there. Processing is done by 500 employees, with 1,500 visits per day. In Serbia, about 840,000 people have so far used the e-government services, and this number is expected to increase significantly in the next few years. The total number of requests at the Portal so far is close to 547 thousand, 338 thousand of which are concerned with renewal of registration of vehicles.
The recognition from the 17th competition of the best websites in Serbia will be handed to the Director of the Digital Agenda Dušan Stojanović on Friday, January 31, at 15 p.m., in the conference room of the Belgrade City Hall.
