A consulting programme named “Development of fixed broadband access in the Republic of Serbia” was presented at the MP Club in Belgrade.
The gathering was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism, and Telecommunications, Korean Institute for development of information society (KISDI), and the Korean Telecom, and the audience was welcomed by the Assistant Minister for electronic communications and postal services Irini Reljin, and Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Serbia, Yoo Dae Jong.
Ministry of Trade, Tourism, and Telecommunications, in the period from March to December 2017, participated in the consulting programme named “Development of fixed broadband access in the Republic of Serbia” organised by the Korean Institute for development of information society with the support of the Korean Ministry of Sciences and Information and Communication Technologies.
During the consultations, the best examples were presented in the development of the fixed broadband access in the Republic of Korea and other countries achieving significant results in this field, and the analysis of the current situation in the Republic of Serbia was made.
The result of the mentioned programme will be the recommendations of the Korean side regarding further development of the policy of the Republic of Serbia in the field of the development of the fixed broadband access.
Ministry, with this project, continued the successful cooperation with the Korean Institute for development of the information society. With that the experience of Korea, as the country which is number one in this field in the world, will be used for the development of the broadband infrastructure in the Republic of Serbia.
