Mr Ljajić has opened the wellness centre in Prolom Banja

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Trade, Tourism, and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić has opened today the newly constructed wellness centre in hotel “Radan” in Prolom Banja, which covers four thousand square metres.

Mr Ljajić used the opportunity to underline that company “Planinka Kuršumlija” which is the owner of hotel “Radan” invested 1.5 million euros of own funds in the construction of the new wellness centre.

There are few examples that a company uses own funds to enrich the touristic offer not only of its own company, but of the entire Toplica region. We want this to become a model, to show that tourism and touristic income can serve to invest in the infrastructure and be more concrete”, he said.

Even now, compared to the previous year, we have 80 per cent of growth in the number of overnight stays of foreign guests, which is definitely an indicator of the potential and ability of this spa centre, concluded Mr Ljajić.

Director of the Touristic Organisation of Serbia Marija Labović has reminded that Prolom Banja, when it comes to the number of given vouchers, is number one in Serbia and that this year the vouchers in this spa were used by seven thousand people, which is ten per cent of the total number of vouchers.
