Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić met today with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Li Manchang, discussing the cooperation of the two countries in the field of tourism and the potential for increasing the number of Chinese tourists in Serbia.
Ljajić informed the Chinese Ambassador on the trend of visits by guests from China to Serbia and added that the number should be considerably greater in the future, considering the tourist potential of Serbia, as well as the increasingly significant orientation of Chinese tourists towards European destinations.
Ljajić said that during the coming period Serbia will intensify promotional activities in the Chinese market, aiming to attract the largest possible number of tourists from this country.
Manchang announced that in February next year Serbia will be visited by a group of tourist journalists from China during the International Fair of Tourism in Belgrade, who will, in addition to reporting from the fair, visit the most important tourist destinations across Serbia.
