Serbian pavilion at EXPO 2015 was visited by 300 thousand people

The pavilion of the Republic of Serbia at the the Universal World exhibition EXPO Milano 2015, has been visited by 300,000 visitors over exactly four and a half months since the opening of the Expo.

The jubilee visitor was Orieta Calcamugi, a clerk from Alexandria, who received appropriate gifts from the Director of the Serbian pavilion Bojan Stevanović.

In the period from September 19th to September 22nd an exhibition of traditional Serbian crafts was held at the Serbian pavilion. The participants at the exhibition were “Pirotex triko” from Pirot, “Srbijanski vez” from Obrenovac, “Kiri” from Belgrade and “I am design” from Niš.

Serbia is presenting itself for the second time at the World Expo, after Shanghai 2010. The core theme of Expo Milano 2015 is “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” and through it, Serbia aims to present itself to the world public and promote its national identity through food and gastronomy, while simultaneously positioning and promoting its heritage, culture, traditions, investment and tourism potentials, as well as opportunities for economic exchange.
