The Turkish textile company “JEANCI” expands its production in Serbia

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić and the director of the Turkish textile company “JEANCI” Taner Büyükcan signed today, in Belgrade, a Memorandum of Understanding, where the Turkish investor is expressing interest in expanding its production capacities in Serbia.

“JEANCI”, which has been successfully operating in Leskovac for four years now and currently employs 600 workers, is planning to start textile production in Krupanj and Vladičin Han, as well as to open additional facilities in Leskovac.

The management of “JEANCI” has already decided that, after the technical adaptations of “Krupanjka” production will begin in Krupanj, while negotiations with the local government and relevant state institutions on the expansion of production at Vladičin Han are still ongoing.

Regarding the operations of “JEANCI” in Leskovac, Taner Büyükcan expressed his willingness to hire an additional 250 workers in the new production facilities in this city in the upcoming period.
