State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matić attended today the diploma awarding ceremony for the seventh generation of Vip students.
Addressing the students, she stated that “the telecommunications sector has great potential for the employment of young experts and that such projects are the best way for students to learn at first-hand how a multinational company operates and assess whether they are ready to develop a professional career in such a demanding and competitive environment. Upgrading of academic knowledge through practice is the best way for the creation of future experts in the field telecommunications.”
Twenty of the most successful students in their final year of undergraduate studies, in state colleges, with a technical, business or IT orientation, have been selected for two months of paid summer internship within the “Be a Vip Student” project. The selection process began in November and 116 students with an average grade above 8 applied for the project.

In addition to professional training in the field of telecommunications, the students will be able to participate in three educational seminars in the field of management and business skills, and Vip provided them with their latest models of notebook computers and smart phones. 117 Vip students participated so far in the “Be a Vip student” project, and as many as 17 were given jobs at Vip mobile.
