Market inspectors withdrew from circulation footwear valued at 9.4 million RSD as part of an extensive control of domestic and foreign shoes wholesale and retail stores.
The operation began in April and will continue until the end of this month. Market inspector Dragan Gajić said that the operation was launched because of the large number of consumer complaints relating to the quality of shoes and sports shoes.
“In the 714 controls undertaken in the past two months, the sale of goods without procurement documents was determined. Also, in many cases invoices were not issued for the sold goods,” said Gajić.
In the controls undertaken so far, it was decided to withdraw from circulation footwear valued at 9.4 million RSD due to lack of documents on procurement.
The market inspectors notified the tax administration about these measures, as it is in charge of confiscating the goods.
For the determined offenses, 118 requests will be filed for legal proceedings.
