{"id":32665,"date":"2018-06-22T13:10:52","date_gmt":"2018-06-22T11:10:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mtt.gov.rs\/?p=32665"},"modified":"2018-07-23T10:26:30","modified_gmt":"2018-07-23T08:26:30","slug":"mr-ljajic-serbia-a-regional-centre-for-iranian-businessmen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arhiva.mtt.gov.rs\/en\/releases-and-announcements\/mr-ljajic-serbia-a-regional-centre-for-iranian-businessmen\/","title":{"rendered":"Mr Ljaji\u0107: Serbia \u2013 a regional centre for Iranian businessmen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and Minister of Trade, Tourism, and Telecommunications Rasim Ljaji\u0107 has said today that Serbia could be a regional centre for Iranian companies in the Western Balkans.<\/p>\n<p>At the opening of the Business Forum Serbia \u2013 Iran, held in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Mr Ljaji\u0107 said that the initiative had been launched for a conclusion of a free trade agreement. <\/p>\n<p>This is why he invited Serbian businessmen to use the opportunity and the access to the Iranian market of 80 million people, the country which has the annual export of more than USD 70 billion of various products and goods. <\/p>\n<p>Tourism, agriculture, and energy are, as Mr Ljaji\u0107 underlined, the fields of mutual interest and potential for cooperation, and there is a possibility to export mutton, corn, cooking oil, and various seeds, such as sunflower, soy, and sugar beet to Iran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe message to the businessmen from Iran is to come and invest in Serbia. You are more than welcome to our country\u201d, says Mr Ljaji\u0107.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/mtt.gov.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Beta-5dwvmknu4f.jpg\" alt=\"Mr Ljaji\u0107: Serbia \u2013 a regional centre for Iranian businessmen\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-29982\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arhiva.mtt.gov.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Beta-5dwvmknu4f.jpg 600w, https:\/\/arhiva.mtt.gov.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Beta-5dwvmknu4f-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/arhiva.mtt.gov.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Beta-5dwvmknu4f-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He underlined that Serbia was one of rare countries in Europe having the visa-free regime with Iran, and established direct flights between Belgrade and Tehran which, as he underlines, facilitates the arrival of both businessmen and tourists from Iran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast year, Serbia attracted more foreign investments than any other country in the region\u201d, says Mr Ljaji\u0107, emphasizing that the arrival of Iranian businessmen would mean that Serbia and Belgrade could become a regional centre for Iranian businessmen in the region.<\/p>\n<p>He has also mentioned the planned visit to Iran with the president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko \u010cade\u017e which will, as he says, mean the opportunity to make the next step in actual economic cooperation of the two countries. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn October we will see the first transitional time and whether we made a progress\u201d says Mr Ljaji\u0107, adding that a great chance is before us to make the economic cooperation, and that he believed that the experts from Serbia will work on the modernisation of the thermal power plant in Iran. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and Minister of Trade, Tourism, and Telecommunications Rasim Ljaji\u0107 has said today that Serbia could be a regional centre for Iranian companies in the Western Balkans.
